According to the Central Statistical Office of Poland, the harvest from apple orchards was initially estimated at approximately 3 million tons (i.e. about 25% less than the record apple production in 2018). In turn, the harvest of fruit from fruit shrubs in orchards and berry plantations was initially estimated at fewer than 0.5 million tons, i.e. nearly 20 percent less than in the previous year.
