Spain - The Government releases 510.7 million from the Contingency Fund for agricultural insurance and social purposes

The Council of Ministers has given the green light to the use of the Contingency Fund to support several credit modifications for a total amount of 510,706,252.23 euros, with the aim of meeting commitments in agricultural insurance and financing activities of general interest qualified as of social interest.

Of that total amount, 7,166,097.11 euros will be directed to support the Annual Agricultural Insurance Plan and to complete the settlement of programs from previous years, while 503,540,155.12 euros will be used to cover activities of general interest considered of social interest linked to the tax allocation of Personal Income Tax and Corporate Tax.

In the area of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, a credit increase of 7.16 million euros has been authorized to cover aid corresponding to the 46th Combined Agricultural Insurance Plan, as well as pending settlements from previous years.

The agreement also includes several credit increases in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, in order to cover activities of general interest considered of social interest associated with the tax allocation of Corporate Tax, for an amount of 17,613,018.51 euros.

Likewise, a credit increase is contemplated in the Ministry of Social Rights, Consumer Affairs and the 2030 Agenda to finance activities of general interest considered of social interest linked to the tax allocation of Personal Income Tax and Corporate Tax, for an amount of 450,523,448.10 euros.
