Bulgarian growers have requested funding for equipment and modernisation projects worth966.3 million Lev (a little over 494 million Euro), greatly exceeding the planned budget of EUR 150 million. As a result, applications will have to be studied and a ranking elaborated to determine which projects have the highest priority.
This has happened only a month after the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry made the application documents available under the scheme "Investments in agriculture", which is considered one of the most attractive tools available to subsidise farms under the Rural Development Programme 2014-2020.By the end of the year, the investment measure will be open again.
