Victorian grain farmers are doing it tough amid the flood crisis.
Grain Growers chair and fifth-generation farmer from Quambatook, Brett Hosking, says 30 to 40 per cent of his crop has been wiped out and the harvest has been delayed.
But he told Ross and Russel crop losses aren’t the biggest challenge he’s facing.
“Probably our biggest challenge is freight and logistics, our roads have just suffered so much,” Mr Hosking said.
“It’s probably a combination of floodwater and many years of just not keeping the proper maintenance up.”
