Aman paddy seeds and fertilizers were distributed among 3,500 farmers of Sadar upazila at the upazila Agriculture Department auditorium this afternoon.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md. Saiful Islam inaugurated the distribution programme with upazila agriculture officer Md. Atiq Ahmed in the chair.
Additional agriculture officer Md. Bakul Islam, upazila social service officer Md. Firoz Sarkar, upazila family planning officer Jagannath Roy and upazila public health department deputy assistant engineer Tushar Kanti Roy, among others, addressed at the function.
Upazila agriculture officer Atiq Ahmed said that free Ufsi Ropa Aman paddy seeds and fertilizers were distributed among 3,500 small and marginal farmers
under the agricultural incentive programme in the 2024-25 financial year.
Each farmer got five kilograms of high-yielding Aman paddy seeds, 10 kilograms of MOP and 10 kilograms of DAP fertiliser.
