"We are excited to introduce version 2 of our ozone treatment system, which represents a significant step forward in our commitment to providing sustainable and effective solutions for preserving the freshness and quality of fresh produce," said Helmut Leili, CEO at Flavour Shield.

"With its enhanced features and user-friendly interface, this system empowers our customers to take control of their treatment processes and achieve optimal results."

Optimized for heavy use, version 2 of the Flavour Shield ozone treatment system incorporates several key improvements, including the integration of the latest ozone technology and advanced sensors for optimal treatment and monitoring.

The Flavour Shield ozone treatment system utilizes the power of ozone to effectively reduce microbial contamination and delay the ripening process in fresh fruit and vegetables. Ozone, a powerful natural oxidizer, safely reverts to oxygen and helps reduce pathogens on fresh produce. This extends shelf life and decreases waste, particularly for sensitive items like berries, avocados, grapes and many other products. The technology has shown to reduce produce shrink by up to 50 percent, ensuring better quality during long distance transport.

FDA-approved since 2001, this ozone-based technology penetrates palletized packaging, offering a safe and efficient method for enhancing food safety and extending freshness. "Our mission is to provide customers with an alternative sustainable solution that enhances downstream consumer value in preserving freshness, flavor and safety.
