The Guam Department of Agriculture is opening the application period for the Crop Loss Compensation Program for eligible agricultural losses resulting from Typhoon Bavi.
Bona fide farmers who experienced qualifying agricultural losses are encouraged to submit their applications during the designated application period beginning Aug. 17 and ending Sept. 2.
This program is designed to provide vital financial assistance to the island’s agricultural community, helping to offset the impacts of crop destruction and sustain local food security. This program only compensates for crop input losses.
Applications can be submitted during standard business hours at the Agricultural Development Services Division, located at the Guam Department of Agriculture in Mangilao.
Required documentation
- All applicants must be current bona fide farmers with the Guam Department of Agriculture and in compliance with their farm reports.
- Receipts validating purchases for agricultural inputs.
Late applications will not be accepted after the Sept. 2 deadline. All local producers are urged to review the eligibility requirements and complete their submissions promptly.
