Italy - ToBRFV virus officially confirmed in Sardinia

The Regional Department of Agriculture has announced that the presence of the ToBRFV (Tomato Brown Rugose Fruit Virus) virus is confirmed in Sardinia.

Therefore, the following three delimited areas were established, the extension of which corresponds to the surface area of ​​the sites (production greenhouses) equipped with physical protection in which the ToBRFV was detected:

  • Delimited Area n. 1: 39.320245 N – 8.995069 E – Mountain area: 4,000 m2;

  • Delimited Area n. 2: 39.320871 N – 8.995450 E - Mountain area: 2,500 m2;

  • Delimited Area n. 3: 39.320597 N – 8.996088 E - Mountain area: 2,000 m2.

The owners or managers in any capacity of the production sites corresponding to the delimited areas are responsible for ensuring that the appropriate measures are adopted to eradicate the harmful pathogen.
