The government of Kosovo said it has approved the allocation of an additional 1.12 million euro ($1.15 million) in compensation to farmers in 14 municipalities, including the capital city of Pristina, Gjakova and Gjilan, for crop losses during 2022.

As many as 386 farmers will receive compensation, Minister of Agriculture Faton Peci said in a video published on the government's social media channels on Wednesday.

Local farmers suffered severe crop damage in 2022 due to flooding.

In December, the ministry of agriculture said the government had approved 2.8 million euro in crop damage compensations for 22 municipalities.
