The Generalitat increases agricultural insurance aid to 32 million in 2026 and prepares a second call for uncovered policies.

The Department of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Food of the Generalitat has decided to increase to 32 million euros the allocated amount for the aid line intended to boost the hiring of agricultural, livestock, forestry, and aquaculture insurance, as detailed this Wednesday in a statement.

This budget reinforcement implies an increase of 12 million euros over the allocation set in the initial call. In addition, the department plans to launch in November a second call for aid, with an advanced budget of 9 million, with the aim of "covering the policies that are not included in the call made through the initial resolution".

According to the department itself, this aid line aims to contribute to the payment of policies for farms in order to deal with the economic losses caused by adverse climatic phenomena or other contingencies that may affect their activity.
