Compensation for Kherson Region Farmers

According to Мін. Економіки: Agricultural producers in the Kherson region have received a total of 237.5 million hryvnias in compensation for crop damage. These payments were made under a renewed state support mechanism designed to aid those affected by the armed aggression of the Russian Federation and adverse weather conditions. State support was provided to 236 farms in the region. The agricultural sector in southern Ukraine has faced immense challenges due to the ongoing conflict and environmental factors.

Compensation Program Continues

The compensation program will remain active throughout 2024. Farmers can submit their applications via a personal electronic account in the State Agrarian Register.

Taras Vysotskyi noted: 'Receiving compensation for damaged crops allows farmers to plan for the next season, preserve jobs, and continue cultivating the land.'

This initiative represents a crucial step in supporting the agricultural sector of Kherson, which has suffered significant losses due to the armed conflict and weather conditions. Providing financial assistance to farmers enables them to maintain production capacity and ensure food security in the region.

The continuation of the compensation program into 2024 also signals the state's commitment to supporting the agricultural sector under these difficult circumstances.
