PAP Agroinvest in Ukraine's Ternopil region is investing more than UAH 150 million (€3.2 million) in a new vegetable storage facility with a capacity of 7,000 tonnes.
The company grows cabbage and carrots, using drip irrigation and other modern production technologies. This year, it has also added Savoy cabbage to its crop range.
Agroinvest processes around 3,300 hectares of land and employs 108 people, with up to 100 additional seasonal workers hired during periods of intensive field work.
The company says it is continuing to expand its vegetable production, introduce new technologies and broaden its range of crops. Before planting vegetables, the farm selects suitable fields and prepares them specifically for vegetable production. The new storage facility is part of the company's expansion of its own production infrastructure.
