USA - Ohio had the worst planting season in the country

New numbers from the U.S. Department of Agriculture confirm that this year's weather has made 2019 the worst planting season on record for the state of Ohio. More than one in seven acres were left untouched, without planted crops, by farmers in The Federal Crop Insurance Program. That one in seven rate was the highest in the country this year. The cause? Heavy spring rains prevented many fields from being planted. More Ohio farmers were forced to collect insurance than in any other year since the USDA began keeping records on insurance collection in 2007. Source - https://local12.com
