Parts of South East Australia have seen four times the average rainfall for October falling in just 24 hours, and people in three states have been ordered to evacuate due to flooding.
The La Nina weather pattern has caused flooding, which has killed 20 people already this year. And there is more rain to come.
New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania are the states worst affected by the flooding.
One grower in Victoria told FreshPlaza that on Friday, the 14th of October, he could not get into the fields in Northern Victoria with tractors as they would get stuck, but the farm is also isolated and cannot be reached by trucks because of road closures due to flooding.
"The rain situation in Victoria is not helping, and our supply does not look good for the next few days."
He said the farms in the south do not look much better.
