Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Tuesday said that for the convenience of the farmers, a new portal for payment of crop compensation will be launched soon and for this, the Revenue and Disaster Management Department has completed all the required preparations. Now farmers will also be able to register their crop loss details on this portal, he added.

"Many times the estimates done by the Department do not match, therefore the government has now decided to provide this option of registering crop compensation to the farmers as well," Khattar said  while talking to reporters here.

He said that through IT reforms the present State Government is working on the core mantra of Good Governance, under which several services are being provided through online medium.

WHEAT PROCUREMENT TILL MAY 25

Responding to a question, Khattar said that 50 percent less wheat has been procured this year.  Wheat has been sold above the MSP due to the export, but now the central government has banned the export. Now, wheat will be procured in the Mandis of Haryana till May 25.  Farmers who are left with wheat stock can visit the Mandis and sell it in the mandi.

PANCHAYAT AND CIVIC POLLS SOON

He said that Panchayat and Civic Polls would be held soon and the government has urged the Commission to complete the formalities regarding the Election. Now the Haryana Election Commission has to decide on when the elections are to be held. The Commission has also started the process of completion of formalities related to the electoral, updating voter lists etc. He said that the decision of contesting the election on symbols by BJP and JJP will be taken after discussion at the party level. He said that due to the non-availability of calculation based data on OBC reservation in Panchayati and civic elections, the court has put a stay on the elections.  Now the State Government will collect unit wise data of OBC by setting up a separate Commission.
