The UF Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS) Economic Impact Analysis Program (EIAP) is conducting a survey to assess losses and damage associated with Hurricane Debby.
The Category 1 storm came ashore near Steinhatchee on Monday, Aug. 5, leaving multiple dead in its wake as it traveled through the Southeast.
UF/IFAS is asking agricultural producers affected by Hurricane Debby to complete the survey as part of ongoing UF/IFAS research tracking the effects of severe weather and other hazards on the state’s agricultural industry.
Responses will remain confidential and be used to improve estimations of the state’s collective agricultural losses from such events and inform decision-making related to disaster declaration, response and relief.
The survey can be completed in 10 to 20 minutes at go.ufl.edu/debbyagimpacts, or by reporting information to the local UF/IFAS Extension county office in person or over the phone.
